Centre for Restorative JusticeThe Centre for Restorative Justice undertakes high quality theoretical and empirical research on various aspects of this rapidly growing field. Its mission is to ensure that the Australian National University remains a world leader in restorative justice scholarship and a leading trainer of doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows in the field. The Centre's Director is Dr Heather Strang. The Centre is located in the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies (RSPAS), under the umbrella of the Regulatory Institutions Network (RegNet). This Network, which is chaired by Professor John Braithwaite, is a strategic planning initiative of the ANU which aims to build research excellence in regulation. RegNet is comprised of a number of centres within ANU, together with regulatory scholars both nationally and internationally, who are engaged in research into regulation across a whole range of areas including democratic institutions, policing, the environment and occupational health and safety.
